March 1, 2022

Hello, hello! Welcome to 2022 edition of the Stamping Society Monthy tutorial.

This month we are sharing ideas using the Lady Bug punch bundle from the January to June mini catalog. There are a few really good ones in the catalog: Ladybug, Cactus, Hedgehogs. and Sail Boats come to mind. I’m sure there is one you will like.

I am featuring the ‘Cactus Cuties’ punch bundle. See this card come to life in my free video tutorial. A full list of supplies can be found at the end of this post.

Saleabration #2 - Stamp Review Crew

February 27, 2022

Hello friends! Welcome to the Saleabration #2 Edition of Stamp Review Crew. There is ONE last day to earn Saleabration products with a qualifying purchase - Feb 28th is the LAST DAY!. Don’t miss out on these goodies. Use Hostess code QYFDNYF6

I am a huge fan of this 2022 Saleabration promotion products. There are so MANY great finds. My two favorites are the ‘Driving By’ stamp set and the ‘Sunshine and Rainbows’ Designer Series Papers.

My card today features the ‘Sunshine and Rainbows’ Designer Series Papers. These papers coordinate with the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle. Another favorite! This card showcases 2 patterns from the paper pack. One of the patterns coordinates with the Cloud Punch. This card is also a shaker card! So fun.

A few additional cards I’ve created using this bundle are shown below.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this Saleabration products? Next up is Mike. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team - For the Record

February 23, 2022

Hey there! My name is Charlet and I am creating from Maine! Today I am sharing two spinner cards created using the For the Record stamp set and the Give it a Whirl dies. Interactive cards are so fun and the stamped record image works great as a spinner!

These cards have me singing ‘You Spin Me Round’ by Dead or Alive, remember that song from the 80’s? These bright and colorful cards sure have an 80’s vibe. I stamped each record image in Versamark on Basic Gray cardstock and heat set using black embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powder. I love the look of high gloss black embossing on the record.

On this card I popped up the stars and large banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This extra height allows the record to spin underneath these elements when you use the wheel dial.

The Give it a Whirl dies work great with the For the Record stamp set. The smaller sentiments from the stamp set fit perfectly in the banner die and the hearts and stars die cuts make great accents for the record.

Use the 3” circle die from the Layering Circle dies to cut out the record. The pattern papers from the Abstract Beauty Designer Series papers are 4’x6” and are the perfect size for a card front. This card uses the painted stripe Magenta Madness pattern from the paper pack with the card front die from Give It a Whirl dies.

I wanted the record to spin by using the wheel dial. Use the Take your Pick tool to create a small hole in the record for the brad to fit through. Using the Take You Pick tool enlarge the hole on the card from piece (make that hole approximately .25” in diameter). Add a glue dot the center of the wheel dial. Place the card front piece over top of dial allowing glue dot to be revealed in the enlarged hole. Align and attach the record to the wheel dial with a brad (the card front piece is sandwiched between the two). You can have the record spin with a brad alone, however in order to have the record spin with the wheel dial you will need the record and the dial to be stuck together at the center.

Sending Joy! I created this wintry scene using the Calm and Bright card kit. I love the look of white on white. I pulled in some gold embossing and Crumb Cake to balance out all that white.
