TGIF Challenges: TGIFC293 - Color Challenge using Snowman Season

December 4, 2020

IMG_9173.jpg

TGIFC293 - Friday Challenge time! This week we are playing with soft blues and purples: Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather. I immediately thought of a winter scene when I saw these colors. My card today also features the Snowman Season stamp set.

Tip: To create this watercolor wash background I wet an entire piece of Fluid 100 watercolor paper and then dropped in a small amount of each color. Then I tipped the paper back and forth to help the colors flow into each other and create this soft multi-colored sky. The snowflakes are stamped onto the background in versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Check out the TGIFChallenges blog for more details and inspiration for this challenge. Tag your projects #tgifc293 so the TGIF Challenges design team are sure to see them.

Hello! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve has the chance to play along with the Creating Kindness team. I had to close out the 2020 year with one last hop!

This month is Designers Choice theme. I created a peaceful winter scene card in Crumb Cake. I sponged white ink onto the birch trees for a little added dimension, I’m sure my CK friends have fantastic projects to share as well and I cannot wait to see them..

Every month we invite someone to stamp with us. Our guest this month is Jan Clothier and I can’t wait to see what she has created along with all of my other friends. Jan is up next on this hop. The full link up can be found below. Thanks for stopping by.

Perfectly Plaid - Stamp Review Crew

November 29, 2020
Stamp Review Crew blog banner(2).png

Welcome to the Perfectly Plaid Edition of Stamp Review Crew. This set is a trusted favorite and I was glad to see it stick around in the Stampin’ Up! catalog for another year.

The card I create today is simple! The tree punch shape is the star of the show. The ‘love and joy’ sentiment are taken from the larger greeting in this set ‘May this special season be wrapped in love and joy’. It’s easy to use parts of stamp greetings, simply ink up the portion of the stamp you want to use. You can do this with markers or by taping off the words you don’t want to use when inking. Just remember to remove the inked tape before you stamp.

Pulling out all the green and silver bling from my stash to create this sparkly tree card. This card is super simple: stamp and then embellish (a lot). #useyourstash #stampinup #cardmaker
Use your STASH - Bring on the Bling! This is the perfect challenge for this card. I have so many rhinestones and sparkly dots that it made perfect sense to use as many as possible to decorate this tree. My card is inspired by a recent wreath project
