Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas! That is our Fancy Friday theme this month. What a great theme, don’t you think? Shades of blues are a great choice for holiday cardmaking. I find they can be awesome for Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter in general. I opted to create a card for the season celebrating a snowy winter using Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. I love how these two teal blues play off of each other.

The snowflake images are from the Christmas Layers dies. I die cut multiples of these (3). I am a big fan and love how these Coastal Cabana snowflakes look tiled across this Bermuda Bay card base. These snowflakes have been tacked down using the Fine-Tip glue pen.

Global Design Project - CASE Challenge - GDP216 - Memorable Mosaic

Hello! Welcome to another Global Design Project challenge.

Look at this great card created by Sarah Berry. It’s adorable and really showcases the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Papers so well. These papers are so unique and this card really makes them shine. Inspired, I tried to showcase and feature those papers on my card as well.

My card is so simple. I’ve chopped up the designer paper to adhere to the card base and added a label sentiment from the Memorable Mosaic stamp set. EASY peasy but classy looking.

Monday Montage 152 - OnStage Table Gifts - Crafting Forever

The Montage Montage crew is back today to share what we are working on.

I’ve just returned from OnStage in Hartford (Stampin’ Up! convention). In the weeks leading up to this event I’ve been creating card SWAPS and gifts for my fellow SU friends. Here is a super fun table gift I created using the ‘Crafting Forever’ and the ‘It Starts with Art’ stamp sets. The gift contains a small paint palette. I packaged it in a cello bag and decorated the bag with the paint brush image from Crafting Forever stamp set (so appropriate). The paint brushes have been colored using Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut this image out during an episode of the Good Doctor (love that show).

I find great pleasure in giving gifts and this was a cute one. I hope my friends loved and know I adore them.

Perfectly Plaid - Christmas Tree card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

Welcome to the Perfectly Plaid Edition of Stamp Review Crew.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Perfectly Plaid is a super fun stamp set that has a coordinating punch. I did not use the punch on wither of these projects.

For these two projects I opted to stamp with the more realistic looking tree image in the set. I found that you can make a tree any size you want with this image. How did I do this? Super easy. I started with watercolor paper and dampened it a bit. Then I stamped the image repeatedly until I achieved the size I wanted. That’s it! You can see in this first card two tree sizes. The smaller tree is the actual size of the stamp.

I created a super large tree on this second card. Isn’t it fantastic? The trees have been stamped using Shaded Spruce ink.
