TGIF Challenges One Layer Card Challenge - TGIFC211

Hello friends! Welcome to this weeks edition of TGIF Challenges. Today we are sharing one layer cards. I’ll admit I’m not the best at one layer cards. They are hard for me because I like layers and dimension. This card was my second attempt. The best part about a challenge is that is should be a challenge, right? Stretch and grow. #tgifc211 .

This card is only ink and paper. First, I laid down some masking tape. Then I stamped the larger and smaller magnolia flowers to create a background pattern. Then I colored the flower background using various Stamps’ Blends. Last I removed the masking tape and stamped the greeting. Done and done!

Global Design CASE Challenge - GDP188

Hello! My post is short and sweet today. A tip for you all, save your posts before you go to bed. Looks like I left my blog dialogue window open with a full posts written (for this one and other post) and didn't save. What a rookie move. Ah well, photos are pretty much all you need.

We are casing Brian’s card this week. I made two versions. My first card, shown at the end of this post, ended up looking like a duplicate rather than a case. So back to the drawing board! The second card used a similar template as Brian’s and I love how it turned out. Clean and layered and will be great for any baby gift.

Good Morning Magnolia - Monday Montage 138

The Montage Montage crew is back today to share what we are working on. The Monday Montage crew is a talented bunch. A quick refresher, the Montage gals host a blog hop every other Monday showing you fun and exciting Stampin’ Up! products.

So I wrote an entire new post and it looks like it didn't save. LOL. Gotta love that when life is unpredictable. It was a good one, let’s see if I can remember… The highlights: New set, blends, floating card.

I’m working on my Mother’s Day projects. I’ve got to get this beauty in the mail today! Mother’s Day in the United State is April 12. This card features another new stamp set, Good Morning Magnolia. Available June 4.

I’ve tried my hand at the floating card technique. Loving this look and all the projects people are sharing. I do not have a press and seal but I made it work. Have you tried this technique? Jennifer McQuire has an excellent tutorial on youtube as does Emma Goddard. Google floating card technique and loads of ways to get this look will be found. Since I do not have a press and seal I had to get creative with removable adhesive.

Don’t you just love this floral? All the magnolias in my areas are blooming and now the petals are starting to fall. As fast as they bloom they disappear. This card kind of emulates the falling flowers.

One great set, two THANK YOU banners. I made these banner panels forever ago but am finally sharing on this Incredible Like You edition of Stamp Review Crew.

As we ended the 2018 year the Artisan design team wanted to create projects to thank the Concept art team at Stampin’ Up! as well as our Artisan team leader Susan Wong. We were left to are own creative devices on what to use, colors, etc. Our only restrictions were size.

This larger THANK YOU banner piece (shown above) was my contribution to the Stampin' Up! Corporate Concept Art banner.
