Sharing something na little different .Here’s a quick post about a quick card made for a crafty friend. This card uses a couple Picket Fence Studios and Stamp Market stamp sets. I am not affiliated with these companies but just LOVE stamps, any stamp! I thought this would be a fun card to send to a fellow cardmaker. The sentiment is perfect.

This card is really simple. just ink and paper. No ribbons or embellishments needed, The card base uses Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake card stock and the stamped image has been colored using various Copic sketch markers.

Itty Bitty Greetings - Global Design Project Sketch Challenge - GDP178

Hello and happy Monday. I’ve got a cheery card for you today.

I opted to use a few products that I haven’t cracked open for my Global Design Project card for this week’s sketch challenge. I started out playing around the Happiness Blooms Memories and More kit. I love the designs of the little 3x4 cards and thought one might make a great base for the card layout. The Happiness Blooms M&M kit also includes some fun die cut images and that is where I pulled the ‘Smile’ sentiment from.

Bitty Blooms is a mini four pack of flower punches that coordinate with the imagery in the M&M kit. I used the 8 petal flower to punch and create a few floating flowers to frame the sentiment.

It’s a little early for graduation card however I know I will need a few of these kinds of cards in the coming months so I pulled the Happy Graduation sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - February - favorite Occasions product

Hello friends! Welcome to the February Fancy Friday blog hop. Good stuff is in store.

Who are we? The Fancy Friday team is a group of talented Stampin' Up! Artisan's, both past and present. We hop the last Friday of the month.

This round we are sharing our favorite Occasions catalog products. I am so excited to see what my crafty friends have chosen as their favorites. In fact once I see what they’ve made I’m certain my favorites might change. Lol, I’m funny like that.

I’ve got so many occasions favs it’s hard to narrow it down to just one thing. If it HAD to be one thing I’d choose the rectangle framelits. These are a must have tool that I will use forever and ever. However when it comes to stamps I am swooning over the the Flowering Desert stamp set. I love the painterly style and it’s just so much fun to stamp with. The builder pieces are so versatile and allow for creating really unique scenes. Plus I’m really into cactus imagery right now (who isn’t).

Simple stamping… sometimes it fun to make a single layer card with only stamps! This card uses three images from the stamp set. You can create a similar look with any set, just use a little blue painters tape or washi tape to mask off the middle and stamp a symmetrical boarder on either side.

Flowering Desert - Global Design Project Color Challenge - GDP177

I was so excited to see this weeks Global Design Project color challenge. These colors look amazing together. I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Flowering Desert stamp set with these colors.

Flowering Desert is a great builder stamp set. I like a set with lots of images that I can build upon and customize. This set is so easy to use and everything you stamp looks fantastic and deliberate. I created the background scene by building various cactus, flowers and leaf images. To balance it I started by stamping with the larger images and the darkest color first. Then I filled in the open spaces with the smaller images. I like this effect.
