Sale-A-Bration - TGIF Challenges product Challenge - TGIFC199

This card feels fun, fresh and like a party! I love the sentiment and find it to be completely true. I think most of the people who inspire me have no idea. I should let them know.

This edition of the TGIF Challenges is focused on Sale-A-Bration products. The card I am featuring today features THREE great Sale-a-bration products.

I used the verse stamp set called Part of My Story, the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers and the Butterfly Wood Elements. A full list of supplies can be found below. Note: every 50$ purchase will earn you a FREE SAB product.

Like the colored look of the wood elements? I dipped them in versamark and then into InColor Embossing powder and heat set.

Crafty Carrot Collective Featuring Geared Up Garage

Hello friends! I’m excited to share something new with you today. Have you heard of the Crafty Carrot Collective? It’s an online subscription tutorial program that four of my Stampin’ Up! Artisan friends put together. Each month the CCC feature a new collection of products through quality projects that you can see in this blog hop. For March, the Crafty Carrot Collective is featuring the Geared Up Garage product suite and the team has asked me to be one of their guest designers. YAY! I am excited to play with these products and share some ideas with you. Also, if you are new here my name is Charlet Mallett. I’ve been an avid paper crafter (mostly cardmaker) for over 15 years. Cardmaking is my hobby, business and creative outlet. I post projects here and on instagram regularly if you are looking for an influx of inspiration. WELCOME!

Are you familiar with the Geared Up Garage products? This suite is perfect for projects that you might want to have a more “masculine” look & feel. The bundle includes a stamp set with coordinating dies that feature all sorts of images you might see in a car repair garage. There is a coordinating set of 6x6 designer series papers full of additional motor themed images in rich colors. This collection also includes fun metal wrench and key embellishments.

I decided to create a Father’s day card using this collection and focused on the gear imagery. Tranquil Tide is such a great color and is the base for this card. In fact, I’m digging the monochromatic feel of the card when paired with shades of gray. A full list of project supplies can be found below.

Part of My Story - Global Design Project CASE Challenge - GDP176

HELLO Friends! Ready for another Global Design Project challenge? This week we are casing this colorful card from Steffi Helmschrott.

When I saw this card from Steffi I knew instantly I want to create a bright, rainbow watercolor background but wasn't quite sure where to go from there.

Do you like these bright colors? The combo is Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay. I used a little drop from the ink refill and an aqua painter to apply the color and love how vibrant these colors appear.

I thought it would be fun to create the eclipse technique using the Be Mine framelits. I decided to give the watercolor background a little dimension using a textured impressions embossing folder. I like this look however if I were to recreate this card I would dampen the watercolor paper before embossing just a bit to eliminate the cracking.

The verse come from the Part of My Story stamp set (free with 50$ purchase). I chopped it up to mimic how Steffi laid out her verse. Super fun and bright!

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - BIRTHDAY!

Boy am I longing for a little tropical relief in this middle of this freezing February. Maybe that’s why I crafted this birthday card with such a summery feel? Are you surviving your winter? I really need to see the sun!

I had a birthday last week. So many friends sent along lovely birthday cards. I am so touched by their friendship and really inspired by the beautiful cards that popped up in my mail. Birthdays are on the brain, which make’s the timing of this month’s CK theme perfect. The Creating Kindness crew are creating birthday cards!!! I always need a birthday card on hand.
