Country Home! Two birds one stone

September 16, 2018

Two birds one stone … I was so busy this week that I was having a hard time working and keeping up my crafting obligations. It’s rare when this happens so I had to get a little creative. My card today incorporates two of my favorite assignments, Stamp Review Crew and Global Design Project. YAY!

This edition of the Stamp Review Crew features the stamp set Country Home. This set is available now in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Mini catalog. Bird #1.

Bird #2 - This card also serves as my project for this week’s Global Design Project challenge. This wee we are CASE this card from the amazing Kerstin Kreis from Scraparound.

My card plays off the all white embossed base and the basic template with a floral image off the the left side. I also pulled in a little flag banner in white, similar to the case card. Want to play along? Check out the Global Design Project blog for more information and inspiration. #GDP156

The Country Home Stamp set has a variety of LARGE verses that will work for fall and occasions where you might need a ‘thanks’ card. The set also includes a milk jug and a watering can with mix and match flower arrangements. This card features the milk just and the cotton flower arrangement. I’ve colored the images using Stampin’ Blends.

The design in the card background was created using the super cool Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. I accented each little repeating circle with pearls.

Real quick - The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. Next up on this edition of the SRC hop is Betty. Thanks for stopping.

FYI - We have a blog with all of the SRC hops archived. Click here to see all of the hops! Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love hearing from you!

- Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop - September

September 16, 2018

Hello again! Welcome back to another Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. This event features a team of Stampin' Up! scrapbookers that blog hop the 3rd Sunday of every month and share exclusively scrapbooking ideas using Stampin' Up! products.

I’ve decided to start my first ever December daily scrapbook. The theme for this month is FIRSTS and I figure this is a as good as any first. I’ve completed day one and day two and left spaces open for photos and journaling. I will be able to move pockets around if something doesn’t make sense for the certain day.

My youngest is eight, and the artwork style in the Santa Memories and More card kit is perfect for creating this December daily book. There are so many mix and match pieces. It takes the pressure off and makes creating and assembling super fun.

Are you ready to see a few more firsts? Check out the next blog, a full block list and link up can be found at the end of this post.

Are you Interested in purchasing Stampin' Up! products? I would LOVE to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. If you live in the United States you can order your paper crafting supplies from my online store. So easy. THANK YOU!

Trick or Tweet - TGIF Challenges - TGIFC177

September 14, 2018

Do you love Halloween? It has to be one of my most favorite holidays to decorate and craft for. I LOVE IT. I got a little spooky with my card for this week’s TGIF Challenge. It’s a sketch challenge (#TGIFC177).

The Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog is full of fun Christmas, Fall and Halloween stamp sets. So many choices. Have you seen the Trick or Tweet stamp set? It’s full of quirky adorable animals all dressed up for Halloween. The line style is seriously so cute and super fun to color. I knew I needed to use this set ASAP.

I stamped and colored (with Blends) the dog and cat images to create a little scene for this card. I watercolored a Mango Melody moon to set behind the scene and the sketch came together from there.

Are you ready to play along? Full details can be found on the TGIF Challenge Blog. Thanks for visiting.

Global Design Project - Theme Challenge #GDP155

September 10, 2018

School Days: My youngest started back to elementary school last week making the timing for this week's Global Design Project challenge PERFECT! I created little thank you boxes and cards to gift to a new teacher.

Our school colors are blue and gold. The closest Stampin' Up! color matches are Blueberry Bushel and Mango Melody. Our sons teacher happens to be male so I opted to make these card a little more masculine / generic.

I recall getting gold star stickers from my teachers in elementary school for jobs well done. I'm not sure this happens much anymore but everyone deserve a gold star (or three).

I used products from the Takeout Treats bundle (new in the Stampin' Up! Holiday 2018 mini) to create the card and the tiny takeout boxes. This stamp set is super fun and could be used for treats for Holiday, Valentine or really any occasion! The star from the set has been stamped in Mango Melody and hand cut with scissors.

Don't you just love this itty bitty star paper? It happens to be the backside of one of the Festive Farmhouse papers. It's a great companion paper for this card.

The tiny takeout box is so easy to cut and assemble. While the box is small I was able to fit 10 Hershey Kisses inside!

Are you ready to see what the design team has created with this School Days theme? Check out the #GDP155 Blog and play along with us. Show us your school spirit! ;)
