Happy Wishes - TGIFC145 Color Challenge

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! The TGIF Challenge team has an awesome color challenge using Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink. I played around and decided these colors would look great with an ombre effect. The end results sure made me happy.

This ombre look was created using a blending tool and Classic Ink pads. I embossed the Happy sentiment from Happy Wishes in white on Whisper White Card stock. Then I blended ink from the bottom of the card to the top of the Happy sentiment starting with the darker inks first. I added spots of colors to the die cut embellishments before applying them to the card.

A Good Day, Global Design Project - New Beginnings

New beginnings is a wonderful theme for creating. New home, baby, school ... endless options. The card I created for this weeks Global Design Project is for the new baby. Welcome little BABY.

Heart Happiness - What Will You Stamp

Everyone needs a good and classic heart stamp set. Heart Happiness fits the bill. My card features a few of the hearts in this set along with the Lovely Words thinlet.

Like that LOVE heart die cut? I strategically covered the 'LY' on the Lovely die-cut word with the striped heart. It's so great when you can get additional use out of a very specific product.

Speaking of getting more use out of a product ... Do you see that little scallop flower? That flower was created using the new scallop punch.

Tip: Cut to the center of the scallop, then overlap and adhere the cut edges to make the flower 3D. Add a rhinestone or gem to the flower center.

Party Pandas! - Sale-a-bration Blog Hop - Stamp Review Crew

Who's ready for a little Panda love? MEEE! I am a total sucker for Panda's making this stamp set a must have for my "collection". HA! The Stamp Review Crew is hosting a bonus hop this month featuring Sale-A-Bration products. I was feeling like I hadn't given these little cuties enough love so I decided to take a LOVE approach with this Panda Shaker card.

A quick refresher for you in case you are new to this hop: The Stamp Review Crew is a group of International Stampin' Up! demonstrators who want to show you how much you can do with ONE stamp set (or in this case Sale-A-Bration stamp sets). We typically feature a single set on the first and third Monday of a month but we decided to through in a BONUS hop this month. Each stop along this hop (17 of us) will show you a different idea, or ideas using a Sale-A-Bration stamp set. The set I choose to feature today is called Panda Party.

A few interesting things about this card that you might not immediately catch ... The 'Love' word die-cut comes from the Lovely Words thinlets. In this case I chopped off the 'LY' and snipped the word away from the heart. The shaker confetti is punched from various sheets of patterned paper using my trusty old 1/8th circle punch. Also in the shaker window are a couple of larger white hearts, one with the message 'Love You'. Interactive cards are fun! Full list of supplies below.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool.
