Labels to Love is the What Will You Stamp challenge set for this week.  Do you have it? If so, show us what you've got. We'd love to see your projects. Check out the WWYS blog to see what the team created.

I made a few projects using this set and the Give Thanks image; a Thanks card, a 3x3 card, a treat box. Supplies for the THANKS card are listed below. I also have a bonus LOVE card to share at the end of this post.

The 'THANKS' card also includes an attempt at a video (Thanks for the encouragement Jenny). I say attempt because I'm not sure what I am doing. I'm still trying to figure everything out. I didn't record any sound when I made the video, thinking I would do a voice over. Well ... I don't really know how to do a voice over yet, LOL. So I sped the video up and added a song.  It's a pretty quick watch (2 min) and shows you a couple tips on using the Everyday Label punch that coordinates with this stamp set.  Let me know what you think and if I should try again. Oh, and a huge virtual hug to all of you >>> Subscribe!

Trick or Treat - Halloween Scraps Card

October 31, 2017

Happy Halloween! I love this rad holiday and all the traditions it brings. I'm a little sad to share my last Halloween project this season but super excited to move onto Thanksgiving, more fall and Christmas projects. Paper crafting is so much fun.

This last card uses a bunch of scraps and outtakes from the various projects I worked on this month. As you may have noticed I used a lot of Pumpkin Pie water color wash backgrounds on my cards. I really liked with soft look against the contrast of orange and black images. Another favorite product this season is the black and white striped ribbon. LOVE IT!

I hope you have a happy and safe Halloween. TRICK or TREAT!

Letters for You - What Will You Stamp

October 30, 2017

WELL HELLO THERE! I find I make more HELLO cards than any other type of card. Not sure why that is but when I thought about what I wanted to make using the Letters For You stamp set for this weeks What Will You Stamp challenge, HELLO was the first word that popped in mind.

Letters For You is such a great alphabet stamp set. It has the perfect sized letters to make a real statement on any project. The HELLO letters became my primary image for this card. I bumped the letters up and down along the baseline. To anchor these letters a little more visually I ran a couple of quick sewing stitches across the HELLO.  I really like this little detail.

What Will You Stamp is a team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who created projects each week showcasing many ways you can use a SINGLE stamp set. We encourage you to play along if you have the featured set. It's so much fun! Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Pick A Pumpkin Celebrate card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another edition of the Stamp Review Crew blog hop. This edition is focused on the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set. This is a stamp set I love and have used a ton recently. It is a must have set!

Want to know how I got that distressed black ink look? I keep an old (somewhat dry) black ink pad around. It still inks up stamp images but stamps really uneven. This uneven distressed look can be so cool sometimes and I decided it would look great with the pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set. I stamped each pumpkin in black ink and then colored over the top of each image with a Peekaboo Peach Stampin' Write marker. What do you think? I think it looks pretty cool.

Want to see more inspiration using the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set? Hop along with the Stamp Review Crew and check out all the amazing Pick A Pumpkin projects.  Up next is Tanya.

A little background in case you are new to this hop: The Stamp Review Crew is a group of International Stampin' Up! demonstrators who want to show you how much you can do with ONE stamp set. Each edition of the Crew will showcase a new featured stamp set. Each stop along the hop will show you a different idea, or ideas using that set!

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies! Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool. My free form is not perfect, but it doesn’t matter in the end when you mount your card crooked. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 🤣 Stamp set is called Easter Basket and it’s on the last chance list.
