TGIF Challenges - Designer Inspiration - Rochelle Blok

May 26, 2017

Welcome to another TGIF Challenge. The week we are are creating projects inspired by the EVER-SO talented Rochelle Blok. Rochelle is a well-deserved member of the 2017 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team. This means she is the best of the best, AND always has the latest SU goodies to play with. Her projects are super inspiring!

I've chosen to CASE a card Rochelle made a few weeks ago for the 2 year anniversary of TGIF Challenges.

My youngest child turns 7 tomorrow and I needed a birthday card at the ready. The card Rochelle made proved to be a great jumping off point to create my card.

I find that Rochelle's cards usually have so many micro details, the more you look, the more you find. I tried to incorporate a few extra details and finishes in my card as well. I used wink of Stella to give the stars on the embossed paper a little shimmer. Mini sequin trim and metallic thread add even more sparkle.

HIP, HIP, HOORAY! My baby is seven!

Welcome card using Vertical Garden and Oh, So Succulent stamp sets. Charlet Mallett

Vertical Garden, Home Sweet Home card #GDP088

May 25, 2017

Another fun challenge is happening over at the Global Design Project. This week we get to CASE the designer, Shawn de Oliveira. When you CASE a project you can Copy And Selectively Edit ... so I used the color combo (pink, kraft, green, white) as my jumping off point for this WELCOME card.

There are only a few days left of the 2017 Occasions mini catalog and I am really trying to get the most mileage I can from these fabulous stamp sets before they are GONE, GONE, GONE. This card uses the Vertical Garden and Oh, So Succulent stamp sets.

Woohoo! I am super excited to share this project was selected as one of the winners for this GDP challenge!!! THANK YOU GDP Team.

Beetles & Bugs - What Will You Stamp 117

May 22, 2017

Welcome to another WWYS challenge. This week is all about Beetles & Bugs. Bugs, bugs, bugs! Boy do they love me, and BOY do I hate them. Seriously! The Beetles & Bugs stamp set is the rare exception, nothing creepy or crawly about it. I created two cards for this weeks What Will You Stamp Challenge. If you own this set play along with us! I can't wait to see what you create. If you don't own this set, and want to add it to your collection, time is limited. Beetles & Bugs is only available for one more week!

Details about What will you stamp this week?!

"To play along, please create a new project that uses the Stampin' Up! Beetles & Bugs Stamp Set and upload it to your online gallery, blog or Instagram feed. Entry deadline is Saturday, May 27th at 5:00 pm PST/8:00 EST. One lucky winner will be picked at random from all the contributions and announced on Sunday... that winner will get bragging rights and an invitation to join the challenge as our guest designer two weeks later!

Please tag your project using #WWYS117 when you post it so that we can find it! When you use the InLinkz to add your project to this week's challenge, please make sure to provide a direct link to your post. Feel free to combine with other challenges or enter more than one project in this week's challenge! There is no time limit per se, but for the sake of sanity, the linky will only work for Monday-Saturday the week of the challenge. After that, please feel free to leave us a link in the comments for that challenge to share your creations!"

Thoughtful Banners - Stamp Review Crew

May 14, 2017

WELCOME!!! Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. This week we are sharing fun new ways to use a current staple, Thoughtful Banners! This stamp set has a greeting for almost all occasions. So many options and choices. I chose to create a Graduation card for my nephew.

I created the square background by stamping the bar piece from this stamp set repeatedly in Lemon Lime Twist on Whisper White card stock. I LOVE this new color. The graduation cap is hand cut from black card stock. The tassel has been trimmed down to be more in proportion to the cap. These mini tassels are available in June. So cute!

I can't wait to see what our Stamp Review Crew has created with Thoughtful Banners. Next up is Nikki Spencer. Thanks for stopping by.
