Stamp Review Crew - Christmas Pines

December 4, 2016

Hello and welcome to my blog and to the Stamp Review Crew Christmas Pines blog hop. Yippee! This is my first hop with the Stamp Review Crew and I am so excited you are here.

A little about me ... I am an avid paper crafter and designer. I feel super lucky to work in the crafting industry and to share my love of all things stamps & paper. I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and have the great priviledge to be affiliated with SU since 2002.

So what is the Stamp Review Crew? We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world that get together to blog hop on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. We create a project based on a single stamp set. Let me tell you, I am in good company. These stampers are seriously amazing! The hop aims to travel in a circular fashion, but if you get lost along the way, just click on the banner above to take you to the main SRC page.

Today's hop is all about the Christmas Pines stamp set. This is a LARGE holiday set with tons of fun pieces that coordinate and layer. This set also has coordinating tools; an embossing folder and thinlets. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

The large NOEL and the pine boughs are what first drew me to this product bundle. I'm a sucker for large stamp words. I stamped the NOEL in Dapper Denim on Whisper White. Lately I'm crazy for the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, so of course I had to use it again on this card. I hand cut little yellow bells come from the Presents and Pinecones designer series paper. I love how wintery this card feels.

Thanks for visiting today. Next you'll be headed to the very talented Wendy Weixler. Enjoy and stop back often for more paper crafting love.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies!
