Picture Perfect - WWYS 69

It's full on summer. We spent the day at the beach yesterday for Father's day. It was so nice and relaxing. YEAH!!! In honor of summer, beaches and all things happy and sunny here is a nautically inspired card using the starfish image from Picture Perfect. You guessed it, Picture Perfect is this week's What Will You Stamp challenge set.

I wasn't really sure what direction to take this card when I started but I am please with how it turned out. I'm itching to use new catalog sets so I paired Picture Perfect with the new Thoughtful Banners stamp and Duet Banner punch. Bright, simple and sunny. The little bits of copper glimmer you see are from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape! Love it.

The pop of dark blue is the new Incolor Dapper Denim. Another LOVE IT.

Greatest Greetings - WWYS 68

You've got to love a good timeless greetings set. Greatest Greetings is just that, and it is the stamp set for this week's What Will You stamp challenge. This set works well with just about any image stamp set. I've paired it with the new Swirly Bird Stamp set & Thinletsfrom the Stampin' Up! catalog.

The primary color on this card is Sweet Sugarplum, a new SU InColor. This color is growing on me but I'm not sure I love it yet. Maybe it's just bad memories from a high school dance where I wore a similarly colored dress? Maybe this memory was my subconscious inspiration for this week's card? Between my giant hair and puffy/swirly dress I think this card totally reeks of 1989. What do you think?

You've Got This - WWYS 67

Thanks for stopping by today. I've got another card for you made with the the challenge set for this weeks What Will You Stamp. You've Got This is the most gorgeous stamp set. It seems every project made from these stamps turns out amazing. The large flower is so fun to water color and the hatched background piece is a great staple image. I think this flower is a Peony?

I love to heat emboss in white and then color. The large flower is embossed in white on watercolor paper and then I water colored in the lines. The large background image is also heat embossed on the patterned paper. The Designer Series paper used as the background is a new paper from the Playful Palette stack. This card uses a small mix of new and retired product, the supply list indicates what is retired below.
