Sale-A-Bration - TGIF Challenges product Challenge - TGIFC199

This card feels fun, fresh and like a party! I love the sentiment and find it to be completely true. I think most of the people who inspire me have no idea. I should let them know.

This edition of the TGIF Challenges is focused on Sale-A-Bration products. The card I am featuring today features THREE great Sale-a-bration products.

I used the verse stamp set called Part of My Story, the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers and the Butterfly Wood Elements. A full list of supplies can be found below. Note: every 50$ purchase will earn you a FREE SAB product.

Like the colored look of the wood elements? I dipped them in versamark and then into InColor Embossing powder and heat set.

Part of My Story - Global Design Project CASE Challenge - GDP176

HELLO Friends! Ready for another Global Design Project challenge? This week we are casing this colorful card from Steffi Helmschrott.

When I saw this card from Steffi I knew instantly I want to create a bright, rainbow watercolor background but wasn't quite sure where to go from there.

Do you like these bright colors? The combo is Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay. I used a little drop from the ink refill and an aqua painter to apply the color and love how vibrant these colors appear.

I thought it would be fun to create the eclipse technique using the Be Mine framelits. I decided to give the watercolor background a little dimension using a textured impressions embossing folder. I like this look however if I were to recreate this card I would dampen the watercolor paper before embossing just a bit to eliminate the cracking.

The verse come from the Part of My Story stamp set (free with 50$ purchase). I chopped it up to mimic how Steffi laid out her verse. Super fun and bright!

Lovely Lattice - Global Design Project Theme Challenge - GDP175

Along the Garden path… sure sounds like a nice theme for a challenge! It just happens to be the theme challenge for this weeks Global Design Project.

When I think of Garden Path I think of florals and spring. That’s my favorite time of year to play around in the garden. I decided to use the Lovely Lattice stamp set and the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set to create a pretty spring Easter card. When you have a composed stamp set like this Lovely Lace set the hard work of designing a card is pretty much eliminated. Just stamp, color and go! This image has been stamped in black and then colored with Calypso Coral Blends. This card also features the gorgeous Lace Dynamic textured impressions embossing folder. I like how the Lattice lace grid image in the stamp is mimicked in the lace design on the embossing folder.

Meant to Be - TGIF Challenges Color Challenge - TGIFC197

I’m all about the heart stamps lately. It’s so fun to repeat them and create your own color background patterns. The striped heart image used on this card comes from the Meant to Be stamp set. I’ve inked it up using this fantastic color combo from this weeks TGIF challenge. #tgifc197 . You could create a similar background using ANY heart image. I whipped up something similar on this card I posted yesterday.

Because of the time of year I opted to create a Valentine card. This card is nice because it could work as a Valentine card or just a great card for that special friend. The hearts are perfectly aligned using the Stamparatus. The trick here is to clean your stamp well between each inking so your inks don’t get muddy.

I haven’t had much opportunity to play around with the InColor emboss powders. Embossing on dark cardstock is a great way to use these powders and get strong vibrant colors.
