It's CHALLENGE time. I was so inspired by Steffi Helmschrott project over at the Global Design I had to join in on the fun this week! Steffi's card is so soft & pretty. I love how the flowers have fallen off of the stems on Steffi's card. Such a nice, romantic scene. Thanks to the GDP team for always providing such awesome inspiration.

Labeler Alphabet - Stamp Review Crew

Hello! Welcome to the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Review Crew blog hop. If you are traveling in order you are coming from the talented Betty Traciak.

Labeler alphabet is a super fun set that is really easy to use and create custom sentiments. I stamp with this set all of the time. You can see previous inspiration using this set here, here, and here. Today I paired Labeler Alphabet with the new You're Delightful host set. I made two cards using the same basic supplies and, between the two cards, use every new In Color!

Today's post also happens to land on Father's Day.  The first card was made for my husband Chris, and yes, he is the best dad in the world! I stamped 'YOU'RE THE BEST' in black ink and then colored in with Lemon Lime Twist.  I used a the Dynamic Hexagon textured impressions embossing folder for the background and was delighted to find the little star image from Labeler Alphabet fits perfectly when stamped in each little hexagon shape.

I used the same template for my second card but stamped only 'THE BEST', omitting the 'YOU'RE'.  I swapped out basic elements and ended up with a totally different take on the original.  My new MUST HAVE washi tape is Pick a Pattern, talk about a product I can use with everything!

Sketch Challenge TGIFC111 - Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

YIPPEE! It's Friday. Seriously, thank goodness. This has been one long week. This weekend will be busy as well. Birthdays abound! Nicholas turned 7 and we are hosting a friend party, the goal is to hunt pokémon. Benjamin turns 15 Sunday. We are still debating how to celebrate his fun day.  Anyway, onto birthday cards.

Welcome to another TGIF Challenge!!! And, it's a SKETCH challenge for you to work with. I love sketch challenges. Having a sketch to start with takes so much pressure off and makes putting elements together easy. 

Today's card features the Happy Birthday Thinlet and Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, two new favorites from the new catalog.  I cut apart the 'Happy' from the thinlet and paired it with the stamped 'birthday' from Happy Birthday Gorgeous. This card also features two new In Colors, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist.

I love how the petal shape in the Petal Burst embossing folder matches so well with the leaves in this stamp set. This card also features two new punches! Yeah for new.

Urban District - What Will You Stamp 118

With Father's day just a few shorts weeks away it's time for me to start making Father's Day cards. I was excited to hear that this weeks WWYS challenge set is Urban District.
