TGIF Challenges: TGIFC285 - Sketch Challenge (Banner Year)

TGIFC285 - Friday Challenge time! This is a fun sketch … and I’ve interpreted it pretty literally. I’ve used the borders from the SnowGlobe dies to create the scalloped border behind the circle from the same dies. The greeting is from the Banner Year stamp set. Colors used are Blushing Bride, White and Calypso Coral. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Global Design Project - GDP261 - Hello Pumpkin

Hello Friends! I had planned to make a fall leaf card with this GDP color challenge but ended up creating a Halloween card instead. The pumpkin / hat stamp images are so darling and come from the September Hello Pumpkin Paper Pumpkin kit.

These colors; Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Mint Macaroon are beautiful together don’t you think?

Hello friends. We are CASING this card from Su today for Global Design Project. I Like how Su’s card is monochromatic, and full of texture. I played off of those two elements to create my thank you card. Garden Green is not a color I use much so it was interesting to me that I chose that color to create this card with.

TGIF Challenges: TGIFC283 - Ink Blending

TGIFC283 - Friday Challenge time! This week it is all about Ink Blending … there are so many ways to achieve this look. I’m not the best at blending inks but I am getting better every time I try. Having the right paper and tools ensures better success, that is for sure.

My card today features two images from the stamp set Tasteful Touches. The ink blended background uses BumbleBee, Cinnamon Cider, Calypso Coral and Highland Heather. I used a sponger dauber to apply and blend each color of ink onto watercolor paper. I misted the paper with water first so the inks would blend smoother.
