Mother's Day Card using Oh, So Succulent stamp set and framelits from the Stampin' Up! 2017 Occasions mini catalog - Charlet Mallett

Oh, So Succulent - Stamp Review Crew

March 19, 2017

Hello and welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Oh, So Succulent edition blog hop. If you are traveling in order you've just arrived from Betty Traciak and will move onto Kelly Kent after this. There are so many talented stampers in this hop, inspiration abound!

At first I struggled coming up with a card using this set. Stampers block I guess. To push through I stamped multiples of all of the succulents, colored them, and then die cut them out. I had a pretty large handful of paper succulents that I could play with and arrange.

I created a flower box on this first card using a small portion of the Hardwood background stamp. I added a couple of screw embellishments from the Urban Underground to finish it off.

Having these succulent pieces at the ready made it easier for me to create. It was like a little flower shop appeared in my craft room. If you like to arrange flowers this set is seriously for you.

This next Mother's Day card uses the basket from the basket builder framelits to create the container for the succulents. The paper doily was stained with Blushing Bride ink by pressing the doily directly into the ink pad and then letting dry. To soften the Mint Macaroon card stock I layered a small piece of Sending Love glassine sheet on top.

WELCOME baby card using Better Together, Diagonal Stripe and Vertical Garden stamp sets. Stampin' Up! Charlet Mallett - www.painted-orange.com

Baby, oh Baby! Theme Challenge #TGIF99

March 17, 2017

Who's ready for a THEME challenge? This week over at TGIF challenges the design team is exploring the theme BABY.

Now, we are super excited around here. A new baby will be joining our extended east coast family later this year. We have baby on the brain. We've been invited to a gender reveal party, my first. Gender reveals were not really a thing when I was having kids. However I'm all about another good reason to celebrate and make a card. Woohoo!

I made a congratulations baby card for this challenge. This card could work for either gender although it does feel a little more feminine the more I look at it. Maybe that's a sign? Hmmm.

For this card I used the Better Together stamp set from the Stampin' Up! catalog. The WELCOME phrase comes from the Vertical Garden stamp set that is available in the Occasions mini catalog.

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge – Day 1: Merry & Bright! It's also time for a Monday Montage Instahop. Double wammy. Kicking off this card-making challenge with some bright, reflective foil! I used the Buffalo Check Hot Foil Die along with the Winter Adventure Bundle. I just LOVE the snowshoe dies in this bundle. So cute! I'm hoping to play along as much as I can and maybe even make a project each day. Fingers crossed! See the Monday Montage Instahop below: Anja @1stampingnightowl Bree @craftsomnia Charlet @i.heart.stamps Cheryl @nukumach1 Elizabeth @seeinginkspots Emily @emkcreationsil Wendy @tinkermom85 I'm so inspired by @martinmayhem and grateful for the extra reason to get crafting. Thanks, Martin, for creating this challenge. #stampinup #winterwonderland #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge

Paper trickery! I used 1/4 inch strips of cardstock to create stripes. I cut these into 1/4 inch strips and offset for a checked pattern. I like how this looks like primitive Halloween decor. #heroarts #halloweencard #cardmakingreels #papercrafting

Happy Halloween! I treated myself to Heroween 13 days of Crafty Treats. I'm a sucker for a good advent calendar, Halloween and super cute dies! I created these two cat cards from the 13 days advent dies and stamps. Cardstock is all Stampin' Up! Cards created for @tgifchallenges inspiration challenge. #tgifc601 #cardmaker #halloweencard #cardmakingideas

You’re a star! I inked up the Sunrays Embossing folder and pressed that ink into the white cardstock, letterpress style. This simple shaker card created with the ‘Shining Stars’ dies. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #shakercard #cardmakingreels
