Hello! Welcome to the April edition of the Creating Kindness Blog hop. This month we are playing with the theme ‘Spring Fling’. Nothing says spring better than pretty flowers … and in this case projects featuring an explosion full of flowers. Both of my projects today feature the ‘In Bloom’ stamp and die bundle.

A little about these projects … First I landed on a color palette. The colors used are Magenta Madness, Blushing Bride, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Old Olive and Pear Pizazz.

Next I set to work cutting loads and loads of flowers and leaves in each color. Having the cut flowers at the ready made arranging a bouquet easy. I decided to keep each layered flower the same color, including the pearl in the center. Keeping the flowers monochromatic helps simplify all the busy flowers. The flower petals have been curved and shaped using a Bone folder.

With all the leftover flowers I was able to create a simple box card. You could really go crazy adding flowers and adornment to the general box card. I kept it simple but I found this bundle is perfect for making a pop up box card. A full list of supplies can be found below.

I used hot foil to create this card and a second card with the leftover negative foil from the hot foil die. Two for one! There’s something just so satisfying about peeling the foil away from the card stock. Foil is Light Pink. Foil die is called: GARDEN SILHOUETTE HOT FOIL DIE #stampinup #cardmaker #hotfoil #gardensilhouettehotfoildies

My desk is full of supplies and leftover scraps from my last card so I decided to create a second card for Sketch #gdp566 I used the Light Pink Foil on white with the image from the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die. This foil has a differnt pink tint from every angle. When I look at it flat the color almost looks purple like Fresh Freesia so I accented with Freesia colored flowers. Products used: • Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die • Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies • Light Pink Foil • Basic White, Fresh Freesia and Pool Party cardstock #stampinup #hotfoil #gardensilhouettehotfoildies #cardmaker

This time I pulled out some of the new hot foil products and went with a pink-on-pink look using Bubble Bath cardstock, Light Pink Foil and Silver Opal foil. I’m using the reverse foil image from the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die with the Reverse Hot Foil Die. Big fan of this technique and really love not wasting foil. Main products used: • Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies & stamp set • Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die • Reverse Hot Foil Die • Light Pink & Silver Opal Foil • Bubble Bath cardstock #stampinup #cardmaker #papercrafting #bestwishes
Kinda fabulous? I’m not sure I laid the color down in the right order on these pumpkins but they still turned out cute. The stencils are called Painted Pumpkin Decorative Masks. Card created for #gdp565 #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #paintedpumpkins
