Global Design Project 400 - CASE the founders

June 26, 2023

Hello friends. Welcome to Global Design Project challenge #gdp400. 400TH CHALLENEGE?!!! Can you believe it? We are so excited to celebrate this big milestone by CASEing the original creators of the Global Design Project. I decided to CASE a little bit from both Kylie and Louise’s projects with my two projects. Both of their cards feature blending in some form. I used blending on my projects to create the background using Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. The flowers are stamped and blended. I pulled in pink on the flowers for Louise and the half and half look from Kylie's project on my tag. Play along with us! CASE or be inspired by either project from Kylie or Louise and tag us #gdp400.

Follow the @global_design_project instagram account to see what my freinds created for this weeks challenge.

Crafty Carrot - July guest designer featuring Zany Zoo!

June 25, 2023

I am super excited to join the Crafty Carrot team as their guest designer for July! We are featuring a bunch of fun projects using the Zany Zoo bundle. There will be tips, video tutorials and more! Sign up for July’s clases now. Visit the Crafty Carrot Collective for more information.

This fun card used the sweet raccoon image from teh stamp set. I altered the image a bit by masking and cutting the tail. See more infromation about this project below and in my reels. See you over at Crafty Carrot soon!

Get more from your stamp images by masking. Create a larger balloon bouquet by inking only the balloons and repeat stamping the balloon image over the mask.

1. Stamp the entire balloon raccoon image onto a PostIt note (x2) and cut out as close to the image line as possible. This will serve as a mask. You will need two masks.

2. Ink the balloon portion of the raccoon image. Stamp the balloon portion onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.

3. Cover balloon stamped imaged with first mask. Repeat step two, arrange balloons to the left side of center balloons and stamp again.

4. Cover both balloon stamped images with both masks. Repeat step two, arrange balloons to the right side of center balloons and stamp again. Repeat masking until you have desired balloon bouquet size.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies! Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool. My free form is not perfect, but it doesn’t matter in the end when you mount your card crooked. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 🤣 Stamp set is called Easter Basket and it’s on the last chance list. Stampin’ Positioner tool coming May 5th #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakingreels
