Stamping Society - Color Challenge

December 1, 2022

Hello, hello! Welcome to the December edition of the Stamping Society Monthly tutorial. This month we are playing with specific colors: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Starry Sky, Shaded Spruce, Pear Pizazz and a Metallic Foil.

These are 6 colors I don’t use very often but I really like how this project turned out. I used the Timeless Greetings kit and Stylish Shapes Dies to pull it all together. Get my written card tutorial along with 5 others by subscribing to Stamping Society.

What is Stamping Society? We are group of international stampers who showcase an idea monthly through a blog hop and then offer the exclusive written instructions for that idea through an easy to navigate tutorial. The tutorial showcases all 6 ideas along with measurements, photos and a video. Details on how to get the written tutorial at the end of this post.

————————————————————————————————————————————————

WANT MORE? My written Instructions are available along with 5 other written instructions for the projects my Stampin’ Society friends have created. Get these delivered hassle free to your email box with a quick subscription.

Global Design Project - GDP70

November 21, 2022

Sketch challenge! I decided a white on white card could be really fun and used the sketch from #gdp370 as the starting point. I was going for a snowy winter wonderland but the absence of color makes this card a little bah humbug, Haha. Anyway, the white heat embossed Santa Express wood elements are kind of fun. See how in my instagram reels.

Follow the @global_design_project instagram account! We are all so impressed with all of the weekly card submissions for the GDP challenges. Seriously impressed. You all are so talented. Want to play along? Details below.

Stamp Review Crew - Jingle Jingle Jingle

November 20, 2022

Hello and welcome to the Jingle Jingle Jingle edition of Stamp Review Crew.

I’ve been using this stamp set quite a bit. For this hop I decided to use the set to create tags for an annual set of gifts.

12 cards for Christmas: I wrap up 12 of the prettiest cards from the year to gift to my Grandma (92). She can open one each day leading up to Christmas. I’ve done this for the last 7-8 years and she seems to enjoy it since she is no longer able to make cards herself.

12 DAYS of Craftmas: I wrap up Stampin’ Up! goodies for a 12 days of Craftmas. For these tags I preprinted the message and then used the little images from Jingle Jingle Jingle to decorate. I stamped the entire sheet first and then punched out. So easy. I had the ink colors match the wrapping paper (from Target dollar spot).

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Holly Krautkreme. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team - Design a Treat Advent Calendar

November 18, 2022

Hello! My name is Charlet. Today I am sharing how I’ve used the Design a Treat Box bundle with the Santa Express Memories and More Cards to create a 25-day Holiday Advent Calendar. Zoom in to see 25 box ideas to help inspire you.

I adore advent calendars and love the idea of opening a little box every day. These treat boxes can fit all sorts of small treats. I created this 25-day Christmas activity advent calendar for my family to enjoy. Each box holds a small treat and an activity. This is a fun way to incorporate all the holiday activities and traditions we enjoy each season.

Die-cut all the mini box components at once (the boxes, labels, numbers, etc). Gather embellishments and other decorations before you start.  This labor-intensive step will help make this project manageable when you start to assemble and decorate all the boxes.

Stamp all the designs on the box panels before assembly. Add Tear & Tape adhesive to the box flaps. Fold the box on all the score lines for easier assemble.

Fill each box with a treat and a simple activity before sealing closed.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies! Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool. My free form is not perfect, but it doesn’t matter in the end when you mount your card crooked. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 🤣 Stamp set is called Easter Basket and it’s on the last chance list.
