Stamping Society - 2021-2023 InColors using Plentiful Plants

June 1, 2021

Hello, hello! Welcome to another Stamping Society Monthy tutorial. This month we are featuring the new 2021-23 Stamping’ Up! InColors. We are all sharing projects using one or all 5 of the new colors: Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent

What is Stamping Society? We are group of international stampers who showcase an idea monthly through a blog hop and then offer more exclusive ideas through a tutorial. The tutorial showcases 6 exclusive ideas along with instructions and a video. Details on how to get the tutorial at the end of this post.

Do you have a favorite new InColor? I’m warming to all of them and am having a hard time choosing a favorite. I love how each of these new colors compliment the existing colors!

Plentiful Plants - ‘ BIGGEST THANKS’ CARD:

I know, I know … I shared a couple of plant cards last month. Ha! Plants are like flowers. the more the merrier and I can’t seem to get enough. The new InColor greens are perfect for plants! This card also features Pale Papaya. I’ve used the Plentiful Plants Bundle. A full list of supplies can be found at the end of this post.

Ready to recreate this card? Let’s go!

‘Biggest Thanks’ card

  1. Cut a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock to 8.5” x 5.5”. Score and fold in half to create card base.

  2. Cut a piece of the BRICK pattern from the ‘Bloom Where You Are Planted’ Designer Series Papers to 3.75 “x 5.5”. Center left to right and mount to the Pale Papaya Cardstock.

  3. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3.25 “x 5.5”. Die cut a 2.5” circle* from the top center of this cut piece. *Save the circle die cut for the tutorial card.

  4. Stamp the ‘BIGGEST THANKS’ greeting in Soft Succulent onto the bottom front of the Basic White Cardstock. Set piece aside for the moment.

  5. Stamp a leafy plant in Evening Evergreen and on Soft Succulent. Cut out both plants.

  6. Stamp the oval bottom pot in Pale Papaya. Cut out.

  7. Cut out the macramé plant holder in Basic White cardstock.

  8. Assemble the hanging leafy plant. Layer both leafy plants and adhere to the backside of the Pale Papaya pot. Layer the white macramé plant holder over the top of the plant image. Weave the leaves of the plant through the macramé plant holder.

  9. Tie white bakers twine to the top of the white macramé plant holder.

  10. Arrange hanging plant to the left side of the circle window opening of the Basic White cardstock. Tape the white baker’s twine to the backside of the Basic White Cardstock so the macramé plant holder appears to hang.

  11. Center the Basic White cardstock left to right and mount to brick pattern using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add extra Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backside of the plant and mount to the brick pattern.

  12. Add three Clear Epoxy Essentials card front in open areas. These look like dew drops to place them around the plant. See card for suggested placement.

WANT MORE? My bonus project is available in the monthly tutorial along with 5 other exclusive projects.

HOW TO GET THE MONTHLY TUTORIAL:

Yummy new colors! This Global design Project challenge plays with three new InColors: Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I pulled these three colors together on this card. I direct stamped, blended and used generation stamping to get the screen tones of each color. The stamp set used is called ‘Color & Contour’ and the dies used are ‘Scalloped Contour Dies’. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Monday Montage 190 - Hot Dog!

May 23, 2021

Hello friends. Welcome to the Montage Montage Blog hop.

HOT DIGGITY DOG. This Hot Dog stamp stamp set is so cute and has been sitting on my shelf, not getting much love and attention. Time to fix that!

Our Pepper (pandemic puppy) just turned 1 year old and was spayed two weeks ago. All went well and she has a followup appointment in the morning. This cute card will serve as a thank you to the vet for taking such great care of her.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge.
