Nicholas is 3!

WOOHOO!

We had a birthday around here! Yesterday was a big day, Nicholas turned three years old.  He was extremely excited to have a birthday, be sung too, open presents, blow out candles and eat cake.  He has been waiting patiently for his turn at a birthday to come around.  We had a small family celebration (after a day filled with baseball for Andrew).  Here are a few pictures from the day.  We will have a larger party for him with kid games, cousins and such next week.

I had to hastily wrap his presents because he kept following me around wanting to open his presents.  No glamour wrapping for this kid. He wanted to help frost and sprinkle his cake, he kept saying "me do it" and carried around the frosting package most the day (and he did help). After he blew out the candles he proceeded to stick the candles in various places on the cake.  It was his day for sure.

We all love this little man so very much.  His brothers are delighted with each new thing he does and learns.  He constantly cracks us up.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICHOLAS!!!

Spring Extravaganza!

Andrew performed a short singing number at his schools Spring extravaganza. He had to dress up and was graded on singing, attire, and holding still. he did a great job. Nic enjoyed "watching the show". Shhh. Be quiet.

Ben was invited to attend to check out his new school and the type of classes offered. He is very excited to attend middle school.

The school gym was packed with some of the best class work from the year. Andrew has a beautiful art piece I can't wait to get my hands on and frame.

Such talented boys!

Not broken

Fairly eventful around here. We spent a few hours at the doctor today. I had a sick worry that Ben had broken his arm (elbow) area. He had an accident at school and was refusing to move his arm. Luckily I was wrong. Just badly bruised, scraped and swollen and painful to move. Ben is happy to wear a sling for the next week to keep it fairly immobile. Apparently that helps the swelling?

Today was so warm that we hit the yard work hard. I planted flower pots and got the garden in while Chris focused on the yard. The boys enjoyed water fights, popsicles, Dr. Who marathon and batting practice.

Soccer today (gladiators won, Ben scored with a header in the last 5 minutes of he game) and baseball  for Andrew last night. Nic fell asleep at the game.

Enjoying being crazy busy.
