Seattle day 1

Chris and I spent a packed fun-filled half day in Seattle.

We wondered around the City. Ate lunch at Anthony's Fish house. Went sight seeing... Walked Pike Place Market, visited Seattle Antique Market and shopped.

For dinner we found a great Thai place, Wild Ginger. Yum.

A few phone pics from yesterday.

Craft room madness!

You have to check out CK's new Creative Spaces V2. It was a little hard for me to find in person (Barnes & Noble) and kind of spendy ($14) for a magazine but worth it. There are so many amazing craft spaces, including views of a few friends rooms; Amy, Paula, Emily, and Megan.

If you remember in 2011 my room was featured in CK - here's that old post.  And another previous post about my space. As it promised, the magazine and rooms inspired me to DO a little updating.  It's a continuous process for me but I sure do enjoy it.  I can't believe I've never shown any photos of how I store certain products.  Here are a few additional vignettes from my room.

JARS - I love them. I store just about everything in jars. buttons, cards, & incentive stamps to name a few.

MINI COLLECTIONS - they inspire! I like to sort like items together.  I like to collect old bobbins and seeing/weaving items.  Single stamps are fun to group in old letterpress trays or together on little shelves.

PUNCHES - I like to have my punches at my fingertips. I use them all the time.  My new punches are behind my desk, stacked by size. My old punched fit nicely in drawers - out of sight.

CUTE CONTAINERS - if it's cute and it holds something I like it.  These planters are a new addition to the room from ikea.

Family photos

We had family photos taken back in November for prosperity and for our Holiday card.   I never did share these. These are some of the outtakes and I tired to avoid any photos used on the card. They turned out nice.  Next time around we will need to get a little more creative but these will do.  I love how grown up all three boys look.

Card club Jan 2013 & Dec 2012

Here are this months card club projects using mostly supplies from the SU Spring catalog. This was the last complete catalog I worked on when I was at SU.  I am very fond of many of the products in this book and they are very fun to use.

We focused on a cute little love notes package.  We created 4 mini cards and then tied them up cutely in a glassine envelope.

We also made a card. This THANK YOU card I cased (CASE = Copy and Share Experiments) from a card in the catalog. I switched it up a bit and used the Comfort Cafe DSP for the color palette. I love this new Honeycomb texture impressions folder.

We used a bunch of clearance rack products because they were such a bargain.  You can check out the SU clearance rack here.

I confused some of the card club gals with my lingo last club. Sorry about that. There are so many acronyms in the crafting world.  This site gives a fairly good glossary for industry terms.  As for Stampin' Up! - they need their own glossary - AND someone has created one here.

Here are the projects we made back in December.  Email me if you are looking for details.
