Carving Pumpkins!

This afternoon I took the boys to Chris' office to show of their costumes and trick or treat the many many cubiucals. They had a great time and came home with a ton of candy. Benjamin's costume was a bit too scary for the little kids and he made a few of them turn and run away.

Tonight the boys and I gutted and carved pumpkins. I made the boys gut their own pumpkins this year and I think I may have made Benjamin sick. Gotta learn how to do it sometime, right? In the end the pumpkins turned out great. Andrew was very please with his, he worked very hard on it. We are now ready for the Trick-or-treating.

SU style halloween

Here are a few pictures from SU Halloween this year. As usual the SU crews outdid themselves. Most departments dress up together and follow a theme. The art department was the winner of best group costume. It was Lord of the Rings themed, complete with movie trailer, if interested you can watch the trailer here. Our team did not dress up this year (sad, and yes were are losers) due to interviews on costume day and folks busy schedules. NEXT YEAR!!! We will kill it.

Here are a few pictures and a link to more photos that are posted on facebook. I took a bunch of pictures of the masquerade decor the design gals created. Pretty cool stuff, I was impressed.

My favorite costume, which also took 1st place, was Christy's rendition of UP.

The overall decor in the building was also pretty cool, using lots of images from our Decor Elements product line. The company served us a soup lunch complete golden corral rolls with Snyder's Halloween sugar cookies. I love this time of year, what a great place to work!

5 months!!!

Nicholas is 5 months old today. Amazing has fast he has grown.

The boys like his shirt, however they think it should read "keep my diaper clean".

Snake wreath

I love Halloween! This year I did not decorate very much for Halloween (too overwhelming, not enough time). But I did get inspired by my October Martha magazine and made this snake wreath. The boys had bunches of old rubber snakes that they no longer played with. The snakes were easy to spray paint black. After painted,I glued, wrapped and wired them around a wicker wreath (4$ from Micheals). It was a fun project and I think it turned out pretty cool.
