For whatever reason we have not been eating our bananas quick enough around here. This is my third batch of banana bread in just under a month. This is a childhood recipe my mom made and as kids we loved. Our boys love this bread. YUM, YUM!
1.5 cup sugar
1 cup butter
.5 cup nuts (I usually leave out as the kids don't like them)
5-6 ripe bananas
3 c. flour
1/4 sour cream
1.5 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1. In small bowl mix the sour cream and baking soda 1st. Set aside.
2. Mix bananas, butter, eggs and sugar well.
3. Add sour cream and soda mixture.
4. Add flour and mix well.
Pour into greased bread pans. Bake at 350 for one hour. Makes two loaves.
